About The Producer - Mr Liao (DaFeng Hao)

Mr. Liao is an old-time Taiwanese puerh producer who is currently based in Shanghai. He specializes in small batch private pressings of raw puerh with a "house style" that leans towards the gentle and elegant, which fans of some other Taiwanese houses may find familiar. 

 

While much of his work goes to supply his wholesale customers and private collectors, he also presses his own range of cakes branded "DaFeng Hao"; this is what we offer. Mr. Liao's deep knowledge of the Lincang region especially shows in his strong line-up of Mengku micro-region pressings. 

 

We have selected a range of semi-aged pressings from Mr Liao's extensive collection to showcase the results of his excellent processing and base material selection on the aging process. 

 

[A note on packaging: All of Mr Liao's pressings are wrapped in fairly generic wrappers; for information on provenance/age of trees, read our description (instead of the wrappers) as we will provide maximum transparency possible on origin of the tea.]
